Job Description: The TGT Mathematics Senior School Teacher will be responsible for
guiding students in middle and high school (up to Grade 10) towards academic excellence
in Mathematics. The teacher will play a key role in developing students’ critical thinking,
problem-solving, and analytical skills. The candidate should have complete knowledge of
CBSE's Mathematics Curriculum upto Grade 10. She/He should also have experience of
working with students in bringing Mathematics to life by connecting it with real world
examples, guiding students in Mathematics activities, helping set up Mathematics stalls
during the science exhibition etc. The teacher should have a thorough understanding of
Mathematics practical records as required by CBSE and conduct of projects.
The Foundation School believes in holistic education from a younger age group so that
students have a more meaningful learning experience in higher grades. Therefore, the
teacher should also be open to teaching middle school students(G 6 -8).
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Mathematics to students in middle and high school, ensuring that lessons are
engaging, challenging, and aligned with the school’s curriculum.
Develop well-structured lesson plans that foster a deep understanding of
mathematical concepts and applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to and implement the department’s best
teaching practices, supporting continuous improvement in teaching methods and
learning outcomes.
Assess and track student progress through assignments, tests, and other
assessments, ensuring timely feedback and personalized support where needed.
Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student
participation, curiosity, and a love for Mathematics.
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership, contributing to
the broader life of the school.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: BSc and/or MSc in Mathematics or a related field. BA Mathematics is also
acceptable.
Work Experience: Prior teaching experience of 2+ years for students up to Grade 10.
Skills:
Superior knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to make complex ideas
accessible to students of varying skill levels.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain concepts clearly
and foster a collaborative learning environment.
Ability to plan engaging and effective lessons that support the overall growth and
development of students’ mathematical abilities.
