About ICS:
Indian Cancer Society (ICS) was established by Dr. D.J. Jussawalla and Mr. Naval Tata in 1951. It is India's first voluntary, non-profit, National Organization for Awareness, Detection, Cure and Survivorship of those affected with cancer. ICS is involved in creating awareness on cancers of breast, oral cavity and cervix all over India. ICS provides an opportunity to all especially underprivileged population for early detection of cancer through cancer detection centres and mobile cancer detection camps. We support poor cancer patients through accommodation, treatment cost, rehabilitation, and survivor support groups. ICS is the only NGO to run a population based cancer registry in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad. The Indian Journal of Cancer is the first indexed oncology journal in India publishing research articles.
About the project:
ICS is hiring for the position of National Program Manager (NPM) to be posted in Mumbai, Maharashtra with frequent travel to project locations.
ICS is implementing a Project: SATARK (Oral, Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness & Prevention Program-OCAP) in four states of India (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, West Bengal & Telangana) in phased manner. Three highly population dense districts from each state are selected and all the urban towns in that district are covered under this program. NPM will be responsible to coordinate project activities and events in all the urban towns of three selected districts with the help of Project Coordinators recruited.
Job Expectation / Responsibilities:
1) Responsible for overall implementation of the project in select states.
2) Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
3) Identification of local partners and partnership with them.
4) Approach and Coordinate with State & District Health Officials to promote implementation of Project SATARK.
5) Monitoring of on ground events (Master training / ToT / awareness sessions / meetings / demand generation / training / CMEs / communication etc.)
6) Preparing budgets / reports on the progress of the project; develop & implement Work Plans, quarterly and annual reports and M&E reports.
7) Collect monthly data from various partners in the specified formats, compile it and share with management of ICS, NHQ on monthly basis.
8) Conduct visits to intervention districts as per need and ensure implementation of the program activities and timely and complete monthly data reporting.
9) Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
10) Ensure resource availability and right allocation.
11) Perform other duties as assigned by the management to achieve program goal.
12) Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
13) Report and escalate to management as needed.
14) Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
15) Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
16) Extensive and frequent travelling required.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,000,001.00 per year
