The Academic Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students through their educational journey by providing accurate information about academic programs, admission requirements, and career pathways. The role involves counselling students, handling inquiries, converting leads into applications, and ensuring a seamless student experience from enquiry to enrolment.
The Academic Counsellor serves as a trusted advisor to students, helping them make informed academic decisions while contributing to the organization's enrolment and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students regarding academic programs, admissions processes, eligibility requirements, and career opportunities.
- Handle inbound inquiries through phone calls, emails, web chats, and other communication channels.
- Conduct outbound calls to follow up with prospective students and convert leads into applications and enrolments.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and interests to recommend suitable programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and stakeholders.
- Assist students throughout the admission process, including application submission and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in CRM and other internal systems.
- Monitor student inquiries and provide timely resolutions to concerns and queries.
- Analyze student feedback and identify areas for improvement in the counselling and admission process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth student experience.
- Achieve individual and team admission and conversion targets.
- Promote additional educational products and services where appropriate.
- Stay updated on institutional policies, academic offerings, admission criteria, and industry trends.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Master's degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in Academic Counselling, Admissions, Education Sales, Student Recruitment, or Customer Service.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a passion for counselling are encouraged to apply.

Training & Development
Academic Counsellors will undergo comprehensive training on:
- Academic programs and institutional offerings.
- Admission processes and compliance requirements.
- Counselling techniques and student engagement.
- CRM systems and operational procedures.
Regular feedback, mentoring, and professional development opportunities will be provided to support career growth and performance excellence.
Location: Noida
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
