Responsibilities
As a Team Member, ensure that,
Kubernetes & OpenShift Management: Design, deploy, and manage highly available Kubernetes clusters (specifically RedHat OpenShift Container Platform) exclusively in on-premises data center environments .
RedHat Infrastructure: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, ensuring optimal performance, security patching, and compliance on local hardware.
CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD) to automate the build, test, and deployment of microservices without relying on managed cloud services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration: Provision and manage localized infrastructure using Terraform and automate configuration management across all bare-metal servers and VMs using RedHat Ansible.
Monitoring & Reliability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana,) to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or data center outages.
Security & Compliance: Ensure container and infrastructure security best practices are implemented, including RBAC, network policies, and vulnerability scanning, adhering to strict internal physical and network security standards.
Skills
Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
Mastery of Ansible for configuration management and automation tasks.
Extensive experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, system tuning, physical server provisioning, and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines adapted for on-prem restrictions.
Strong proficiency with Git and collaborative branching strategies.
Education/Training
Graduation (BSC/ BCA/ BE/B.Tech/MSC IT) with no history of arrears.
Experience: 6+ years of proven, hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering role.
Professional Experience
Extensive experience operating, scaling, and maintaining large-scale on-premises infrastructure (bare metal, VMware,). Note: This role does not involve cloud environments.
Strong hands-on experience with RedHat OpenShift on bare-metal or local VMs.
Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools like ArgoCD or Flux (Preferred/Nice-to-Have).
Experience with Istio or OpenShift Service Mesh (Preferred/Nice-to-Have).
