JOB DESCRIPTION – INTERIOR SUPERVISOR

1. Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Interior Supervisor to oversee day-to-day interior execution activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising contractors, carpenters, electricians, painters, false-ceiling teams, flooring teams and other site workers to ensure that all work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.
The Interior Supervisor will act as the key coordination point between the Project Manager, Site Engineer, vendors, subcontractors and labour teams.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise daily interior execution activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved 2D drawings, working drawings, BOQ and specifications.
- Coordinate and supervise carpentry, modular furniture, gypsum/POP work, false ceiling, flooring, wall finishes, painting, glass/aluminium work, electrical and other interior works.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignment and finishing quality.
- Monitor manpower deployment and productivity at site.
- Ensure proper sequencing of different trades to avoid delays and rework.
B. Quality Control
- Inspect ongoing and completed works for quality and workmanship.
- Ensure materials and workmanship comply with approved specifications.
- Identify defective or incomplete work and coordinate necessary rectification.
- Ensure proper finishing, alignment, joints, edges and detailing.
- Maintain site quality standards and minimize wastage and rework.
C. Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Read and understand architectural, interior, furniture, electrical and ceiling drawings.
- Explain drawings and execution requirements to site workers and subcontractors.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them to the Project Manager/Site Engineer.
- Coordinate for revisions and ensure that the latest approved drawings are being followed.
D. Contractor & Labour Management
- Coordinate with subcontractors and specialist agencies.
- Allocate daily work activities to various teams.
- Monitor labour attendance and productivity.
- Ensure contractors complete assigned activities within the planned timelines.
- Coordinate material requirements with vendors and the project team.
E. Material Management
- Check materials received at site against approved specifications and quantities.
- Ensure proper storage and protection of materials.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Inform the Project Manager regarding material shortages and upcoming requirements.
- Maintain basic records of material receipt, issue and consumption.
F. Project Schedule
- Monitor daily progress against the project schedule.
- Prepare/submit daily progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Highlight delays, site constraints and resource requirements.
- Coordinate multiple activities to ensure timely project completion.
G. Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure workers follow basic site safety requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness at the work area.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials and tools.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately to the concerned authority.
H. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site progress reports.
- Record manpower and work activities.
- Maintain material and work-status records.
- Assist in preparation of measurements and work completion reports.
- Maintain snag lists and coordinate their closure before handover.
3. Required Skills
- Good knowledge of interior execution and construction practices.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and interior drawings.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, false ceiling, partitions, flooring, painting and finishing works.
- Good understanding of measurements and site dimensions.
- Good manpower and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to identify site problems and provide practical solutions.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under project deadlines.
4. Educational Qualification
Preferred:
- ITI / Diploma in Civil, Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
Candidates with strong practical experience in interior site execution may also be considered.
5. Experience
Preferred Experience: 3–7 years in interior execution/site supervision.
Experience in commercial offices, retail, hospitality, residential, corporate interiors or turnkey interior projects will be an advantage.
6. Preferred Technical Knowledge
- AutoCAD drawing understanding
- Interior working drawings
- BOQ and quantity understanding

- Basic MS Office/Excel
- Knowledge of interior finishing materials
- Understanding of MEP coordination

Pay: ₹9,215.50 - ₹33,133.41 per month
