Position: Lecturer – Legal Studies & Social Science
YS Group is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and student-focused Lecturer in Legal Studies and Social Science to join its academic team.
The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills and the ability to make concepts engaging, practical and relevant for students of Classes IX to XII. The candidate should also be capable of preparing students effectively for CBSE Board examinations as well as relevant competitive examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and concept-driven lessons in Legal Studies and Social Science for Classes IX to XII.
- Develop teaching strategies that encourage critical thinking, discussion, application and active student participation.
- Connect classroom concepts with real-world examples, current developments and practical situations wherever relevant.
- Create a positive, inclusive and academically stimulating classroom environment.
- Regularly assess student learning through tests, assignments, written practice and other appropriate methods.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback and work closely with students to address individual learning gaps.
- Prepare students systematically for CBSE Board examinations and relevant competitive examinations.
- Maintain appropriate academic records, lesson planning and assessment documentation.
- Stay updated with developments in Legal Studies, Social Science, education and examination patterns.
- Collaborate with coordinators and other faculty members to ensure consistency in academic planning and delivery.
- Participate actively in academic initiatives, school events, workshops and other institutional activities.
- Contribute to the overall academic and intellectual development of students.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Law/Legal Studies, depending on the subject area being taught.
- Prior teaching experience at the senior secondary level will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and examination requirements will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build a strong connect and rapport with students.
- Passion for teaching and willingness to adopt innovative and activity-based teaching practices.
