Role Summary
We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management experience to support discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, backlog management, and stakeholder alignment for ServiceNow SPM implementation and enhancement programs.
The candidate should understand how organizations manage demand, projects, portfolios, investments, resources, financials, roadmaps, and benefits realization using ServiceNow SPM. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, ServiceNow architects, developers, testers, and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and implementation-ready user stories.
Key Responsibilities

Work with business stakeholders to understand current portfolio, demand, project, and investment management processes.

Conduct workshops for requirement discovery, process mapping, gap analysis, and future-state design.

Document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and use cases.

Collaborate with ServiceNow architects and developers to validate solution feasibility.

Own backlog grooming, sprint planning support, story prioritization, and clarification during delivery.

Support configuration discussions for workflows, forms, approvals, dashboards, reports, roles, and notifications.

Coordinate UAT planning, test scenarios, defect triage, and business sign-off.

Prepare training materials, user guides, release notes, and adoption support documentation.
-
Ensure traceability from business requirements to user stories, test cases, and delivered functionality.

Act as a bridge between business teams and technical implementation teams.
Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in ITSM, PPM, SPM, or enterprise workflow transformation projects.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management.
-
Strong understanding of portfolio management, demand intake, project governance, resource planning, financial tracking, and benefits management.
-
Experience writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and functional designs.
-
Good understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, workflows, roles, approvals, forms, lists, dashboards, and reporting.
-
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
-
Ability to conduct workshops with senior business stakeholders.
-
Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Experience supporting UAT, test case review, defect clarification, and release validation.
Preferred Skills

ServiceNow SPM implementation or enhancement experience.

Knowledge of ITBM, PPM, APM, ITSM, CMDB, or Agile Development modules.

Exposure to ServiceNow Performance Analytics and reporting.

Experience with enterprise portfolio governance and PMO processes.

Understanding of integrations between ServiceNow and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, SAP, Workday, or financial systems.
