We are seeking a responsible and customer-focused Collection Agent to collect monthly chit instalments from subscribers, follow up on overdue payments, maintain accurate collection records, and build strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate should have good communication and negotiation skills, be target-oriented, and ensure collections are carried out in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect monthly chit instalments from subscribers through field visits, phone calls, or other approved collection methods.
- Follow up with customers on overdue payments and ensure timely collections.
- Issue payment receipts and maintain accurate collection records.
- Update customer payment details in the company's collection system.
- Educate subscribers about payment schedules, due dates, penalties, and company policies.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to improve payment compliance.
- Resolve customer queries related to chit accounts and coordinate with the branch team when necessary.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
- Escalate default or high-risk accounts to the Branch Manager for further action.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Submit daily collection reports, cash, and supporting documents to the branch on time.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Qualification
- Any Bachelor's Degree.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Experience in collections, finance, banking, chit funds, NBFCs, or customer service is preferred.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and follow-up abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office/collection software).
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Honest, trustworthy, and responsible.
- Willingness to travel locally for customer visits.
- Valid two-wheeler driving licence is preferred.
