Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead QA/QC Officer specializing in Civil and Structural projects for our ongoing site operations at GAIL USAR. The ideal candidate will oversee all quality assurance and quality control operations, ensuring construction activities adhere to the highest engineering standards, project specifications, and statutory requirements. This role requires robust expertise in material testing, comprehensive QA/QC documentation, and technical billing workflows tailored to process plant and hydrocarbon environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Implement and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and QA/QC procedures specific to civil and structural foundations, pipe racks, and equipment structures at GAIL USAR.
- Inspections & Testing: Coordinate and execute routine quality inspections, concrete/soil/material testing, and structural alignments; ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, IS/international codes, and GAIL standards.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous quality records, material test certificates (MTC), poured concrete logs, and complete inspection dossiers for client sign-off.
- Billing & Measurement: Verify contractor measurements, prepare and review joint measurement sheets (JMS), and support technical billing and milestone certifications for civil/structural packages.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Monitor site execution quality, evaluate vendor submittals, and issue/resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with effective root-cause corrective and preventive actions (RCCPA).
Candidate Qualifications & Eligibility
- Degree Holders (B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering): Minimum 3 years of total construction experience, including at least 1 year in a dedicated QA/QC role.
- Diploma Holders (Diploma in Civil Engineering): Minimum 5 years of total construction experience, including at least 3 years in a dedicated QA/QC role.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on site experience in Civil and Structural works for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or heavy industrial process plants.
- Skills: Well-versed in field testing protocols, quality documentation workflows, and structural billing practices.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- Professional QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, NDT Level II).
- Prior working background or exposure to GAIL or major hydrocarbon/process plant projects.
Pay: ₹315,500.61 - ₹650,000.00 per year
