Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Commi 1 specializing in Continental cuisine to join the Mgril kitchen team. You will assist in preparation, cooking, and plating of Continental dishes while maintaining quality, hygiene, and consistency as per Paragon standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place for Continental section
- Cook and plate dishes like pasta, grilled items, sauces, soups, and starters under CDP/DCDP guidance
- Ensure portion control, taste, and presentation meet Mgril standards
- Follow recipes, SOPs, and standard plating guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Continental station as per FSSAI norms
- Assist in inventory, stock rotation, and indent preparation
- Support during banquet or bulk orders when required
- Comply with kitchen safety and grooming standards
Requirements
- 2–3 years experience as Commi 1/Commi 2 in Continental specialty restaurant or 4/5-star hotel
- Sound knowledge of Continental sauces, grills, pasta, and cold starters
- Basic knife skills and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and FSSAI guidelines
- Team player with ability to work under pressure
- Diploma in Hotel Management/Craft Course preferred
- Willing to work in shifts
