We don’t run Headphone Zone like a company. We run it like a community — of people who care deeply about helping others rediscover music. We’re proud to be a 100% independent, Indian-owned business, committed to bringing the world’s finest headphones and audio gear to discerning listeners across the country.
We choose to be the best, not the biggest. We serve our customers with the same level of care, respect, and attention we’d want for ourselves — guided by a simple ethos: we’re ladies and gentlemen, serving ladies and gentlemen. And above all, while we are not a music company, music is at the core of everything we do.
At Headphone Zone, a lot of our day to day operations across warranty, returns, orders, and payments run on automations that keep the business moving. We are looking for an Automations Assistant to take ownership of our existing library of automations, keep them running smoothly, and help build new ones.
This is a hands on, beginner friendly automations role. You will not be expected to architect complex systems from scratch on day one. Instead, you will inherit a well documented set of workflows with written SOPs, learn how they work, troubleshoot them when they break, and gradually build the skills to take on more. Your work will directly free up our Head of Automations to focus on more complex projects.
This is an assistant's role, not a Head of Automations role. If you love the satisfaction of fixing a broken workflow, cleaning up a messy Google Sheet, and building up your technical skills over time, you will enjoy this.
-
Monitor and troubleshoot existing automations across our tools, using our written SOPs as your first port of call.
-
Read and understand existing AppScript, JavaScript, and Python projects well enough to spot what is going wrong and fix it.
-
Build and maintain API integrations using REST and GraphQL, and set up webhooks to connect and automate across Shopify, Freshdesk, JotForm, Razorpay, Cashfree, and Unicommerce.
-
Improve our Google Sheets based automations using advanced functions and lookups so that data stays accurate across warranty, returns, orders, and payments.
-
Build new automations and rebuild existing ones in n8n and Zapier, using AI tools like Claude Code and ChatGPT Codex to optimise them for cost and speed.
-
Basic working knowledge of JavaScript or Python, enough to read and understand an existing AppScript project.
-
Basic ability to create API calls using REST and GraphQL, and a working understanding of webhooks and subscribing to endpoints to trigger notifications and automations.
-
Good command of advanced Excel and Google Sheets functions, especially lookups.
-
Familiarity with at least one automation tool such as n8n or Zapier.
-
Comfort using AI coding tools to build and improve automations.
Some prior hands on experience with automations, even in a personal or small scale capacity, is preferred over being a complete fresher. You should be someone who enjoys troubleshooting, is comfortable reading documentation, and is not put off by an error message.
This is not a senior or architect level position. We expect and want you to grow into more complex work over time, but the starting point is maintenance, troubleshooting, and supported building.
Headphone Zone is a place for people who want to do great work, the right way, not the easy way. We believe in showing up every day with curiosity, ownership, and a commitment to getting better. Titles and ladders don't matter here; how you think, learn, and contribute does.
You'll fit right in if you care about craft, take responsibility for your own growth, and thrive in an environment that's fast, unstructured, and a little chaotic (in the best way). Most of all, we're here to help people rediscover music, and everything we do comes from that purpose.
At Headphone Zone, you'll be part of a small, passionate team that takes pride in doing things differently. We believe in craft, community, and curiosity, and we're here to serve, not to sell. You'll have the freedom to own your work, learn constantly, and contribute to a team that values quality over scale.
If you believe in treating customers with grace and respect, care about helping people experience music more deeply, and thrive in a culture built on trust and hustle, you'll love it here.
If this sounds like your kind of role, hit 'Apply'. We'd love to hear from you.
