About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Purchase & Sourcing Manager to manage end-to-end procurement and vendor relationships for our growing D2C brand dealing in natural gemstones, crystals, Rudraksha, malas and spiritual products.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure gemstones, crystals, Rudraksha, malas and spiritual products.
- Build and manage a strong vendor/supplier network across India.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate gemstones for quality, authenticity, treatment, origin and certification.
- Manage vendor performance, quality control and alternate sourcing.
- Plan procurement based on sales demand, inventory levels and SKU movement.
- Track purchase orders, landed costs and inventory availability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.
- Research and source new products, suppliers and emerging categories.
- Coordinate with Operations, Sales and Marketing for product requirements.
Must Have
- 4+ years of experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in gemstones, jewellery, crystals, Rudraksha or spiritual products.
- Strong existing vendor network in gemstone/crystal/Rudraksha markets.
- Good understanding of gemstone quality and authenticity.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management and procurement skills.
- Knowledge of Indian gemstone markets and pricing.
- Ability to independently identify and onboard new suppliers.
Preferred
- Experience with gemstone certification/laboratories.
- Experience sourcing gemstones and diamonds.
- Experience sourcing high-value gemstones.
- D2C/E-commerce experience.
- Experience with international procurement/imports.
