We are looking for an experienced and skilled Site Modular Furniture Carpenter to join our installation team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in installing premium modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, vanities, and other modular furniture. The candidate must be capable of independently reading technical drawings, assembling modular units, fitting premium hardware, and ensuring high-quality finishing at site.
The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual who can handle site challenges professionally while maintaining quality, safety, and timely completion.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Modular Furniture Installation
- Install modular kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, crockery units, vanities, study tables, and other modular furniture.
- Assemble factory-manufactured cabinets accurately as per approved drawings.
- Ensure proper leveling, alignment, and finishing of all installed furniture.
- Handle complete installation from unloading to final handover.
2. Drawing Interpretation
- Read and understand:
- Modular furniture drawings
- Elevations
- Layout plans
- Section details
- Hardware drawings
- Execute installations exactly as per approved drawings.
- Report any drawing discrepancies before installation.
3. Hardware Installation
Experience in installation and adjustment of premium hardware including:
- Blum
- Hettich
- Hafele
- Ebco
- Grass
- Other modular hardware systems
Must be proficient in installing:
- Hinges
- Tandem drawers
- Soft-close channels
- Lift-up mechanisms
- Pantry pull-outs
- Magic corners
- Tall units
- Bottle pull-outs
- Cutlery organizers
- Sliding wardrobe fittings
- Telescopic channels
- Handle profiles (Gola & conventional)
Proper adjustment and smooth functioning of hardware is mandatory.
4. Material Knowledge
Must have practical working knowledge of:
- MDF
- HDHMR
- BWR Plywood
- BWP Plywood
- Laminates
- Acrylic Sheets
- PU Finished Panels
- Veneer
- Fluted Panels
- Glass Panels
- Aluminium Profiles
Should understand the correct handling and finishing requirements of each material.
5. Carpentry Skills
Must possess expertise in:
- Cabinet assembly
- Site modifications
- Edge finishing
- Trimming
- Cutting
- Routing
- Drilling
- Groove cutting
- Panel alignment
- Scribing against walls
- Gap correction
- Shutter adjustments
6. Edge Banding & Finishing
Experience with:
- PVC Edge Banding
- Acrylic Edge Banding
- Laser Edge (preferred)
- Manual edge finishing
- Touch-up work
- Surface protection during installation
Maintain premium finish without scratches or damages.
7. Site Coordination
Coordinate with:
- Site Engineers
- Interior Designers
- Electricians
- Plumbers
- Stone Contractors
- Civil Contractors
- Clients
Ensure installations proceed smoothly without delays.
8. Quality Control
Responsible for checking:
- Alignment
- Level
- Gap consistency
- Hardware functioning
- Door operation
- Drawer movement
- Surface finish
- Joint quality
- Silicone finishing
- Cleaning after installation
No project should be handed over with pending defects.
9. Problem Solving
Must possess a solution-oriented mindset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
