Job Summary
Yogi Crop Science Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Quality Control Chemist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of experience in quality testing and laboratory analysis within the chemical or agrochemical industry. The candidate will be responsible for conducting quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical and chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Conduct routine laboratory testing using standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and laboratory documentation.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications before release for production or dispatch.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Prepare chemical reagents and standard solutions as per laboratory procedures.
- Assist in investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results and quality-related issues.
- Coordinate with the Production and R&D departments to resolve quality concerns.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety guidelines, and quality management systems.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of laboratory chemicals and samples.
- Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques.
- Experience with laboratory instruments such as pH Meter, Moisture Analyzer, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC, or similar analytical equipment will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Quality Control procedures and documentation.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO standards, and laboratory safety.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for maintaining reports and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
