Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Total Station Surveyor to carry out accurate land, building, and construction surveys using total station and other modern surveying equipment. The candidate will be responsible for setting out construction works, taking measurements, preparing survey data, and coordinating with site engineers and project teams to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographical, boundary, alignment, and construction surveys.
- Operate Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/DGPS, and other surveying instruments.
- Establish benchmarks, control points, reference points, and grid lines.
- Carry out setting-out works for foundations, columns, walls, roads, structures, and other construction activities.
- Transfer levels and coordinates accurately to the construction site.
- Check dimensions, elevations, alignments, and coordinates against approved drawings.
- Prepare and maintain survey records, field books, measurement sheets, and reports.
- Collect survey data and download/process data from total station equipment.
- Work with AutoCAD and relevant surveying software to prepare drawings and survey outputs.
- Conduct as-built surveys and provide accurate site measurements.
- Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and report them to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, and execution teams.
- Ensure all survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and handled safely.
- Follow project quality, safety, and surveying standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma / Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in construction surveying preferred.
- Good hands-on experience with Total Station and Auto Level.
- Knowledge of coordinates, levels, benchmarks, traversing, and setting-out procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings.
- Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of GPS/DGPS surveying will be an added advantage.
- Good mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams.
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
Preferred Experience
Experience in building construction, infrastructure projects, roads, bridges, industrial projects, high-rise buildings, or formwork-related construction will be an advantage.
