Workwise is started by industry veterans, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay and VIT graduates. Workwise is a technology-driven solution designed to revolutionise procurement for contractors in heavy industries such as energy, gas & oil, chemical, steel, power, automobile, cement, and mining. In this whole industry, there is lack of technical levers, lack of financing levers, lack of operational efficiency, and plus there is lack of market access. There are 3 major stakeholders: Clients, Buyers or Contractors and Suppliers or Vendors. We are starting with a business solution for contractors and vendors to make procurement cheaper and faster. We are solving procurement related problems, and automating the whole process from finding relevant vendors to sending enquiries(sending RFQs) to compare quotes to negotiate to finalise vendors to get quality and timely product deliveries at best rates possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to understand project requirements and functionality.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
- Perform manual and automated testing of our web applications
- Identify, document, and report bugs and other issues
- Conduct regression, integration, and performance testing
- Test APIs and ensure backend functionality works as expected
- Verify that the application meets technical specifications and business requirements
- Provide feedback to developers for improving product quality.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies (manual and automated).
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Understanding of web application architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of basic testing tools like Postman (for API testing).
- Familiarity with any test automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- 1 - 3 years of experience in software development.
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks or scripting.
- Interest in learning automation testing and performance testing tools.
