We seek an experienced Accountant (2–6 years) to handle end-to-end accounting, project cost tracking, and statutory compliances in a construction/project-based environment. The role demands hands-on proficiency in Tally and deep knowledge of GST & TDS regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete accounts using Tally Prime (or latest version) – including ledger maintenance, vouchers, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Handle full-cycle accounts management: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, and General Ledger.
- Generate and manage e-Invoices under GST compliance for client billing.
- Ensure timely and accurate GST compliance – including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, e-Way Bills, ITC reconciliation, and GST audits.
- Manage TDS deduction, deposition, and quarterly filings (Form 26Q, 27Q, 26AS reconciliation, etc.).
- Perform project accounting: cost allocation, WIP tracking, variation orders, retention, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS reports, financial statements, and project-wise profitability analysis.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and receivables follow-up.
- Coordinate with site teams for accurate recording of material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Support internal & statutory audits with proper documentation and schedules.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation in Tally.
Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter.
Experience: 2 to 6 years in accounting, preferably in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure sector.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime (mandatory).
- Strong expertise in GST (including e-Invoicing and e-Way Bills).
- Hands-on experience with TDS compliance and filings.
- Excellent accounts management and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial reports).
- Good understanding of construction/project accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Income Tax and other statutory requirements relevant to the construction industry.
