PLANNING ENGINEER (WATER & WASTE WATER PROJECTS)
Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for project planning, budgeting, cost control, and monitoring timelines for water and wastewater treatment projects including WTP, STP, ETP, and CETP. The role focuses on ensuring effective project execution through proper scheduling, financial tracking, revenue planning, and client billing coordination while reporting directly to the Project Head.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and work breakdown structures (WBS)
- Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays or deviations
- Prepare and track project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow projections
- Handle cost control, variance analysis, and forecasting for ongoing projects
- Prepare revenue plans and ensure alignment with project milestones
- Manage client billing processes including RA bills, invoicing, and certifications
- Follow up with clients for billing approvals and payments
- Perform billing reconciliation with clients and internal finance teams
- Coordinate with project execution, procurement, and accounts teams for cost and billing inputs
- Prepare MIS reports, progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for management
- Support Project Head in decision-making through data analysis and reporting
- Ensure proper documentation of project planning, billing, and financial records
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques
- Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking
- Familiarity with billing processes, client coordination, and reconciliation
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), MS Project / Primavera (preferred)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects (WTP, STP, ETP, CETP)
- Exposure to EPC or infrastructure projects
- Experience in handling client billing and revenue tracking

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
