Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in backend and frontend technologies. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing solutions, developing and testing features, and ensuring successful deployment to production while following Walmart’s development, coding, CI/CD, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand requirements and work details and prepare detailed design specifications, HLD, and LLD.
- Take complete ownership of development and testing for assigned features/work packets.
- Perform:
- Unit Testing
- Integration Testing
- Performance Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Test Automation
- Maintain 90%+ code coverage for delivered work packets.
- Ensure all mandatory deployment gates are successfully passed.
- Ensure the code has no critical, blocker, or major security vulnerabilities or Sonar violations.
- Follow Walmart Git and coding standards.
- Adhere to Walmart standards for CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Work on automated change requests to successfully move work packets into production.
- Consider cloud cost optimization while designing and deploying solutions.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure quality, scalability, performance, and reliability of applications.
Required Technical Competencies
Backend Development
- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with multi-threading and parallel processing.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and JSON data formats.
Frontend Development
- Strong experience with ReactJS.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of full-stack application development.
Database
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server.
- Proficiency in database normalization, joins, and query optimization/management.
CI/CD & DevOps
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Looper and Git version control.
- Familiarity with automated deployment processes and production change requests.
Cloud
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud fundamentals.
- Understanding of cloud deployment and cost optimization.
Testing & Automation
- Strong experience with JUnit and unit test automation.
- Experience with end-to-end functionality automation.
- Ability to maintain high code quality and test coverage.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently own features from requirement analysis through production deployment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, coding standards, security, testing, and deployment practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.
