Job Overview
Asthra Projects is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PCB soldering, electronic component assembly, and rework activities. The candidate must be able to maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual soldering of electronic components on PCBs (SMT and Through-Hole).
- Assemble electronic boards, wiring harnesses, connectors, and related assemblies.
- Read and understand circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect solder joints and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify and rectify soldering defects through rework and repairs.
- Handle electronic components using ESD-safe practices.
- Operate soldering stations, desoldering tools, and other assembly equipment.
- Conduct basic testing and continuity checks using measuring instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong manual soldering skills.
- Knowledge of SMT and Through-Hole soldering techniques.
- Ability to identify electronic components.
- Experience in PCB assembly and repair.
- Basic knowledge of electronic testing using multimeters.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eligibility
- ITI (Electronics/Electrical) or Diploma in ECE.
- 2–3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or soldering operations.
- Candidates with experience in electronics production or assembly lines will be preferred.
