Job Summary:
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing, receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining records of construction materials, tools, equipment, and other inventory items required for real estate and construction projects. The role ensures proper stock control, material availability, and accurate documentation to support smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, and equipment against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain accurate stock records of all materials received and issued.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management about shortages or replenishment requirements.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Material Issuance & Control
- Issue construction materials, consumables, and equipment as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain proper records of material movement and usage.
- Ensure materials are stored safely to prevent damage, theft, or wastage.
- Track returnable materials and tools from contractors and site personnel.
Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain Goods Received Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), stock registers, and inventory reports.
- Update inventory management software or Excel records regularly.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain proper filing of purchase and inventory-related documents.
Store Maintenance
- Keep the store organized, clean, and secure.
- Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and identification of materials.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies regarding material handling and storage.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams regarding material requirements.
Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, site engineers, and contractors for material receipt and dispatch.
- Assist the purchase department in material planning and inventory forecasting.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, damages, or losses immediately to management.
Qualifications:
- Higher Secondary / Graduate in any discipline.
- Certification in Store Management or Inventory Management is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in real estate, construction, or infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of construction materials and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software.
- Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation.
- Timely material issuance and receipt.
- Reduction in material wastage and losses.
- Proper maintenance of records and reports.
- Compliance with company inventory and safety procedures.
Work Location:
Project Site / Construction Site as assigned.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
