Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Experience in handling major and minor surgical procedures is mandatory.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent.
- Registration/Certification (if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before scheduled surgeries.
- Ensure OT is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to hospital infection control protocols.
- Arrange and verify surgical instruments, consumables, implants, and equipment before each procedure.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
- Operate and maintain OT equipment such as:
- OT lights
- Suction apparatus
- Electrocautery machine
- Patient monitors
- Operating tables
- Defibrillator (basic handling)
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile field throughout surgeries.
- Assist in patient positioning and safe transfer before and after surgery.
- Perform instrument counting before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Clean, disinfect, and send instruments for sterilization after every surgery.
- Monitor the availability of surgical supplies and inform the OT In-charge regarding shortages.
- Maintain OT records, registers, and surgery-related documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with CSSD, Biomedical Engineering, and other departments for smooth OT operations.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, infection control, biomedical waste management, and hospital safety protocols.
- Respond promptly during emergency surgeries and trauma cases.
- Report equipment malfunction or any unusual incidents immediately.

- Basic computer knowledge for documentation.
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods and assist during surgeries.

Working Conditions

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a reputed hospital.
- Experience in General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Laparoscopic surgeries will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
