Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Fashion Designer specializing in Western Wear to lead the design and development of innovative fashion collections.
The ideal candidate should possess strong trend forecasting abilities, garment construction knowledge, fabric expertise, and a passion for creating commercially successful designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze international and domestic fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands.
- Develop seasonal collections, mood boards, color stories, and design concepts.
- Create detailed sketches, CADs, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, embellishments, and accessories.
- Coordinate with sampling, merchandising, production, and sourcing teams.
- Conduct fit sessions and ensure design accuracy throughout product development.
- Monitor product quality and maintain brand design standards.
- Guide and mentor junior designers and design assistants.
- Work closely with buyers and management to achieve commercial objectives.
- Ensure timely completion of collections according to seasonal calendars.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from a recognized institute.
- 5–8 years of experience in Western Wear Fashion Designing.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric properties.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and other design software.
- Excellent understanding of fashion trends, color forecasting, and market dynamics.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in women's western wear, or contemporary fashion.
- Ability to manage multiple collections simultaneously.
- Strong creative visualization and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
