We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to support our material testing and analytical laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise chemical analysis on metals, alloys, and related materials, while ensuring compliance with quality policies, standards, and procedures as per NABL and relevant industry norms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the laboratory’s Quality Policy and comply with procedures in line with NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and relevant Indian Standards.
- Conduct chemical testing using analytical equipment such as spectrometers, and Carbon Determination Apparatus. This is a mandatory skill requirement.
- Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments regularly to ensure accurate results.
- Analyze and verify test results, ensuring precision and consistency in all measurements.
- Prepare detailed, accurate test reports and support documentation for quality audits and client reporting.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment.
- Ensure daily attendance in the laboratory; regular in-person presence is mandatory.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry (with Chemistry as one of the main subjects).
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in chemical analysis of metals, alloys, or related materials .
- Proficiency in wet chemical methods, particularly the carbon determination process via combustion and CO₂ absorption measurement, is mandatory.
- Understanding of NABL accreditation requirements and related quality standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow analytical protocols precisely.
- Good documentation and communication skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
