Position Summary
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems, machinery, and automation equipment within the manufacturing facility. The role ensures uninterrupted production by maintaining electrical equipment, minimizing downtime, and adhering to safety standards. Industrial electricians typically maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and plant equipment while ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical systems.
- Maintain HT/LT panels, MCC panels, transformers, DG sets, capacitors, and switchgear.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in production machinery.
- Maintain plant lighting systems and power distribution networks.
Machinery & Equipment Maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in HDPE and PVC pipe extrusion lines.
- Maintain motors, drives, heaters, control panels, and instrumentation systems.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and restore equipment operation with minimum downtime.
- Assist in commissioning and installation of new machinery and electrical systems.
Automation & Controls
- Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, limit switches, and control circuits.
- Maintain machine automation systems and electrical interlocks.
- Support process improvements through automation upgrades and modifications.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and statutory regulations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and company safety standards.
- Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Documentation
- Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts records.
- Update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment history sheets.
- Prepare daily maintenance reports and submit to the Maintenance Manager.
Required Qualifications
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Electrical License preferred.
- 3–8 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in PVC/HDPE pipe manufacturing.
- Experience in extrusion machinery, motors, drives, and industrial control systems.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
- PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley or equivalent).
- VFD programming and maintenance.
- Reading electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of transformers, MCCs, DG sets, and power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and instrumentation.

Preferred Experience for Moyalan Plastics
- Experience in HDPE/PVC pipe extrusion plants.
- Knowledge of extruders, haul-off units, cutting machines, dosing systems, and compressors.
- Experience in maintaining utility equipment such as air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, and DG sets.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
