The Product Launch Lead oversees and coordinates all internal requirements for the launch of new and is responsible for managing all aspects of a new product launch.
- This dynamic individual will manage new programs from the receipt of quote acceptance through art approval; and will maintain ultimate responsibility for program success, by meeting all program launch targets - time, quality & manufacturing feasibility.
- Coordinates the planning, development, and launch of new products to major Automotive OEMs.
- Develops project requirements, create start-up plan, maintain the timeline, Manufacturing Readiness, and open issues list to ensure the program achieves customer milestones, internal deliverable, and engineering deadlines and plant start-up in line program timeline.
- Establishes budget and timeline for all approved projects and is responsible for regularly communicating progress against project timeline to all project stakeholders.
- Manages the operating program inputs: project planning, logistics, operations management and financial performance.
- Primary liaison between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and Distribution centres
- Supports projects by interfacing and coordinating between the customer and plant CFT ( planning, production, engineering, and quality)
- Manages and communicates customer's product quality, on-time delivery, configuration and inventory requirements. Effectively communicate in clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization
- Weekly update of status, issues, and risks as well as prepare monthly updates of project for executive review (launch readiness review)
- Conducts regular meetings with all project stakeholders to ensure the proper focus remains on the project, its deliverables, and expected results.
- Manages multiple projects with multiple tasks in a fast-paced industry.
- Ensure Advanced Quality Planning/PPAP, including customer sign off and Process sign off on the program
- Drives the implementation and production approval of new plant and equipment and/or production tooling into the production environment.
- Responsible for generating all required paperwork associated with plant and equipment and/or production tooling projects and getting it approved to company ISO and quality standards.
