Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and report software defects using issue-tracking systems. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve bugs.
- Testing Methodologies: Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, sanity, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, refinement meetings, and daily stand-ups to provide QA estimates and ensure testing requirements are aligned with development goals.
- Automation Support: Assist in identifying candidates for test automation and collaborate with automation engineers to expand test coverage.
- Quality Metrics: Maintain accurate records of test results and communicate quality metrics clearly to stakeholders and project managers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience working as a QA Analyst, Software Tester, or in a similar Quality Assurance role.
- Testing Skills: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with test management tools (like Jira, TestRail) and bug-tracking workflows.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and a methodical approach to software testing.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document defects and collaborate across cross-functional technical teams.
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL queries to perform backend data verification is a plus.
