Job Purpose
The PPC Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end production scheduling, capacity mapping, and material tracking within a high-precision CNC Machine Shop (comprising Multi-Axis CNC Turning, Milling, and VMC machines). The role demands ensuring seamless workflow execution from raw materials to final AS9100 quality delivery, optimizing machine uptime, and minimizing lead times while maintaining strict aerospace compliance.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Scheduling & Dispatching
- Develop and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and daily/weekly shop-floor dispatch lists based on client order books.
- Plan and sequence operations for multi-axis CNC machines (Turning, VMC, HMC) to ensure optimal machine utilization and reduce setup/changeover times.
- Release production work orders and route cards down to the shop floor.
2. Capacity Planning & Inventory Control
- Perform regular Capacity Utilization Analyses to identify potential shop floor bottlenecks, and plan for subcontracting or overtime when required.
- Coordinate with the procurement and stores teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials (forgings, castings, special aerospace alloys), custom jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) and manage inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and eliminate stockouts.
3. Aerospace Compliance & Documentation
- Track and manage job routing in accordance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards and aerospace traceability criteria.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control (QA/QC) to align production timelines with First Article Inspections (FAI), stage inspections, and NDT testing schedules.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
- Work hand-in-hand with CNC Programming / Methods teams to understand cycle times, tool sheets, and engineering changes (NPI/NPD).
- Prepare and present key operational metrics to plant management, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), plan vs. actual tracking, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
Required Skills & Experience
- Core Domain: Must have 3+ years of core experience working specifically within a precision CNC Machining environment (Aerospace sector).
- Technical Systems: Hands-on proficiency using ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP PP, Oracle, or customized manufacturing modules) for planning and inventory control.
- Drawings & Tooling: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering 2D/3D component drawings, process sheets, and understand basic GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Pay: Up to ₹70,000.41 per month
