Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules for infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, and reporting to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera / MS Project
- Develop baseline programs in line with contract requirements
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify project risks
- Prepare catch-up and recovery schedules when required
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for progress updates
- Prepare MIS reports, S-curves, and performance dashboards
- Assist in resource planning and allocation
- Conduct delay analysis and support claims documentation
- Participate in project review meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with contractual milestones
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Certification in Primavera P6 (preferred)
- Training in Project Management (added advantage)
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure projects.
- Experience in EPC projects preferred
- Experience in handling large-scale infrastructure schedules
- Knowledge of delay analysis and project control techniques
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques
- Understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies
- Knowledge of earned value management (EVM)
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Familiarity with contract clauses related to time and claims
