Position: Plant Head / General Manager – Bulk Drugs, APIs & Specialty Chemicals
Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai
We are looking for an experienced Plant Head / General Manager to lead our manufacturing facility and drive operational excellence across production, quality, engineering, warehouse, compliance, and plant administration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API, bulk drug, excipient, or specialty chemical manufacturing and a proven track record of managing large teams and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end plant operations, ensuring achievement of production, packing, and dispatch targets.
- Drive productivity, yield improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with WHO-GMP, cGMP, EHS, and statutory requirements while maintaining audit readiness.
- Oversee quality systems, CAPA, deviations, change controls, and risk management activities.
- Manage engineering, maintenance, utilities, equipment reliability, and plant expansion projects.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Warehouse, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Monitor plant budgets, KPIs, inventory, safety, quality, and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Tech Chemical, M.Tech Chemical, M.Sc. Chemistry, or related discipline.
- 4–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, APIs, bulk drugs, excipients, specialty chemicals, or allied industries.
- Prior experience as Plant Head, Factory Manager, Operations Head, Manufacturing Head, or General Manager preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of API, bulk drug, excipient, and specialty chemical manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in GMP, WHO-GMP, EHS, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in production planning, process optimization, cost control, and operational excellence.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in managing pharmaceutical API, bulk drug, excipient, or specialty chemical manufacturing facilities and leading large plant operations teams.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
