Role: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that product solutions align with customer needs and business objectives. He or she is primarily responsible for translating client business needs into detailed functional specifications to support successful product implementations. The person must demonstrate great attention to detail and excellent organizational and priority management skills.
Your Day with Equisoft:
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with client stakeholders to document business needs and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI.
- Monitor and analyse product performance metrics to inform future development priorities.
- Own the development of detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements documentation.
- Lead refinement sessions with Product Development Manager to define next sprint priorities and scope
- Conduct product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation of test cases, defect tracking, and formal sign-off activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client business stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle, managing expectations and communications.
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation including business requirement documents, configuration specifications, and traceability matrices.
- Identify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and scope changes, collaborating with the Product Development Manager to maintain delivery integrity.
- Participate in project planning activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and delivery milestone reviews.
Create and maintain Jira tasks throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with Product Development Manager.

Requirements:
Technical
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or information technology or a college diploma
- 5 years or more in a Functional or Business Analyst role
- Minimum of 2 years' significant work experience in the insurance and finance sector
- Proven ability to gather and document complex business requirements with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience with Agile practices
- Implementation or professional services environment
- Exposure to AI tools for business synopsis
