Job Title: Terminal Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Terminal Manager to oversee end-to-end operations of an Inland Container Depot (ICD). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in rail logistics, terminal operations, inventory management, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires ensuring smooth terminal operations while maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and service level commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete ICD and terminal operations.
- Handle rail logistics, rake planning, and rake handling.
- Plan and manage indents for smooth operational flow.
- Coordinate with Railway officials, Customs authorities, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate freight rates and manage transportation contracts.
- Monitor inventory, container movement, and yard operations.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for fleet and driver performance.
- Supervise ground-level planning and day-to-day terminal activities.
- Lead and manage a workforce of 700–740 employees.
- Oversee field operations to ensure timely loading, unloading, and dispatch.
- Maintain operational records, reports, and performance metrics.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Rail Logistics and ICD/Terminal Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Rake Handling, Indent Planning, and Freight Negotiation.
- Experience in contract management and vendor management.
- Excellent liaisoning skills with Railway officials, Customs authorities, and transport partners.
- Hands-on experience in inventory and yard management.
- Knowledge of SPRH, CMW, and BPC processes.
- Strong understanding of field operations and ground-level planning.
- Experience in managing large operational teams (700+ workforce).
- Ability to monitor and improve SLA and KPI performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in ICD, Container Terminal, Rail Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
