Service Advisor
Job Summary
The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the dealership's service department. The role involves understanding customer concerns, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with technicians, ensuring timely delivery of vehicles, and delivering an excellent customer experience while achieving service and revenue targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Interaction
- Welcome customers and understand their vehicle service or repair requirements.
- Conduct a preliminary inspection of the vehicle along with the customer.
- Clearly explain recommended repairs, maintenance schedules, and service packages.
- Prepare accurate job cards and service estimates.
- Obtain customer approval before commencing additional repairs.
Service Coordination
- Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Monitor job progress and keep customers informed about service status.
- Ensure quality checks are completed before vehicle delivery.
- Arrange vehicle delivery as per the committed timeline.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Promote genuine Maruti Suzuki spare parts, accessories, lubricants, and value-added services.
- Upsell preventive maintenance packages, extended warranty, AMC, and other dealership offerings.
- Achieve monthly service revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate job cards, repair orders, invoices, and customer records.
- Ensure all warranty claims and service documentation comply with dealership and Maruti Suzuki guidelines.
- Update customer information in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Customer Satisfaction
- Address customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Conduct post-service follow-up calls to gather customer feedback.
- Work towards achieving high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) targets.
Compliance
- Follow dealership SOPs and Maruti Suzuki service standards.
- Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Freshers are also preffered
- 2–5 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automobile dealership (Maruti Suzuki experience preferred).
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and strong communication skills may also be considered for trainee roles.

- Good technical knowledge of passenger vehicles.
- Ability to explain technical issues in simple language.
- Sales and upselling skills.
- Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
Working Conditions
- Work from the dealership service center.
- Six-day work week with rotational weekly off as per dealership policy.
- May require extended working hours during peak service periods.
