Job Description – Site Coordinator / Project Coordinator (Furniture)Job Summary
The Site Coordinator / Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating furniture installation activities, managing the movement of furniture and accessories, ensuring quality checks, tracking project progress, coordinating with vendors and production teams, and maintaining daily work reports to ensure the timely and successful execution of furniture projects.
Key Responsibilities1. Furniture Installation Coordination
- Coordinate and supervise the installation of modular, customized, and loose furniture at client sites.
- Ensure furniture installation is completed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with installation teams, site supervisors, and clients for smooth execution.
2. Furniture Material Management
- Monitor the dispatch, transportation, and receipt of furniture at project sites.
- Ensure proper documentation for furniture dispatch, delivery, and installation.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality Control (QC) teams to verify furniture before dispatch.
3. Furniture Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality inspections of furniture before dispatch and after installation.
- Ensure all furniture is free from defects, damages, and finishing issues.
- Report and coordinate rectification of any installation or furniture-related issues.
4. Site Progress Monitoring
- Monitor daily progress of furniture installation work.
- Prepare and maintain daily site progress reports.
- Identify delays and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely project completion.
5. Daily Work Reporting
- Collect daily work reports from installers, carpenters, and site supervisors.
- Allocate installation work and monitor completion status.
- Maintain records of completed furniture installations and pending activities.
6. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with furniture vendors, hardware suppliers, transporters, and installation contractors.
- Follow up on material deliveries, accessories, and site requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of furniture and installation materials.
7. Logistics Coordination
- Manage the movement of furniture from the factory/showroom to customer sites.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, transportation, and site delivery schedules.
- Ensure safe handling and timely delivery of furniture.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly installation status reports.
- Submit project updates to the Reporting Manager/Project Manager.
- Maintain proper documentation of furniture installation, material movement, snag lists, and project completion reports.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients, installation teams, production, vendors, and management.
Required Skills
- Experience in furniture installation coordination and site execution.
- Knowledge of modular furniture, customized furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, office furniture, and loose furniture.
- Understanding of furniture materials, hardware, finishing, and installation processes.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Knowledge of logistics, dispatch, and material management.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, architects, interior designers, vendors, and installation teams.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with 2–5 years of experience in the furniture, modular furniture, interior fit-out, or woodworking industry will be preferred.
- Experience in handling multiple furniture installation projects simultaneously is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
