Role: Beauty Merchandiser ÔÇô Inventory & Planning
Industry: Cosmetics, Skincare, and Personal Care
Goal: Optimize stock levels, manage factory production timelines, and distribute inventory across retail channels to maximize daily sales and minimize stockouts.
Reports to: Product Team & Financial Controller
Job Type: Full-time, on-site (5 days/week)
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Re-ordering
- À Manage stock levels for both product packaging (components) and finished beauty goods.
- À Place timely re-orders based on lead times and production schedules.
- À Prevent stockouts on high-demand items while keeping overall warehouse holding costs low.
Supply Chain & Vendor Liaison
- À Coordinate daily with factories and suppliers to track production timelines.
- À Resolve manufacturing delays to ensure new stock arrives at the warehouse on schedule.
- À Manage vendor relationships, lead times, and delivery documentation.
Sales Tracking & Channel Allocation
- À Monitor the daily run rate (DRR) of all products to detect shifts in customer demand.
- À Allocate specific inventory quantities across sales verticals, including the brand website and online marketplaces (like Amazon, Sephora, or Nykaa).
- À Balance stock levels between channels based on real-time sales performance.
Warehouse Management
- À Audit warehouse inventory levels to ensure physical stock matches digital records.
- À Coordinate with the logistics team to streamline receiving, storage, and channel fulfillment.
Requirements and Skills
- À Experience: 2 to 5 years in inventory planning, supply chain merchandising, or demand planning (beauty or FMCG experience preferred).
- À Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience with ERP/Inventory management software.
- À Analytical Skills: Strong ability to calculate daily run rates, safety stock, and forecasting models.
- À Communication: Clear, assertive communication skills to manage external factories and vendors.
