Purpose of the Role
The Furniture Fitter is responsible for the on-site assembly, installation, and fitting of modular furniture and modular kitchen units at client locations.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in cabinet installation, hardware fitting, site measurement, and quality finishing to ensure that every project is delivered to the highest standard of precision, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Cabinet Installation: Assembly and fixing of modular furniture and kitchen units
- Hardware Fitting: Installation of hinges, channels, handles, and lift systems
- Site Measurement: On-site measurement and layout verification
- Quality Compliance: Ensuring installation meets design specifications
- Material Handling: Proper handling and storage of materials on-site
- Tool Management: Safe and correct usage of power and hand tools
- Client Site Coordination: Coordination with site supervisor and client during execution
- Finishing & Handover: Clean, damage-free finishing and site handover

Required Technical Competencies
- Hands-on experience in modular furniture/kitchen installation
- Knowledge of cabinet assembly — base, wall, and tall units
- Familiarity with hardware: hinges, soft-close channels, lift systems, tandem boxes
- Understanding of modular materials — HDF, MDF, plywood, laminates, PVC
- Knowledge of countertop materials — granite, quartz, SS, corian
- Proficiency in power tools — drill, jigsaw, circular saw, electric screwdriver
- Ability to read technical drawings and layout plans
- Basic knowledge of electrical/plumbing coordination for appliance fitting
- Knowledge of skirting, cornice, and light pelmet fitting

Requirements
- Education: ITI in Carpentry, Furniture Technology, or related trade (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in modular furniture and/or modular kitchen fitting
- Proficiency in power tools and standard carpentry/fitting hand tools
- Knowledge of hardware brands such as Hettich, Hafele, or Blum (preferred)
- Ability to read technical drawings and work as per design layouts
- Willingness to travel and work at client sites within the assigned region with their own two-wheeler
