Job Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for preparing and coordinating detailed technical drawings for commercial interior fit-out projects within the Project Design team. The role focuses on translating approved design concepts into accurate construction documentation, shop drawings, and execution drawings that support seamless project delivery. The Draftsman works closely with Designers, BIM teams, MEP consultants, and Project Execution teams to ensure all drawings are technically accurate, coordinated, and aligned with site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, and construction documentation for commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Develop detailed floor plans, partition layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, sections, and fit-out details.
- Prepare detailed joinery, furniture, millwork, reception, pantry, and workstation drawings.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with MEP services and site execution requirements.
- Review design drawings and convert them into execution-ready documentation.
- Incorporate design revisions, consultant comments, and site changes into project drawings.
- Support the Design Team in resolving technical detailing and constructability issues.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and MEP teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, verification, and technical coordination when required.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and execution requirements.
- Meet project deadlines and drawing submission schedules.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Drafting Technology.
- Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software preferred.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience in Commercial Interior Fit-Out projects.
- Experience in preparation of shop drawings, GFC drawings, and construction documentation.
- Experience working on corporate offices, workplaces, retail, or hospitality interior projects preferred.
- Exposure to project execution coordination is an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of commercial interior fit-out detailing.
- Knowledge of furniture, joinery, ceiling, flooring, and partition detailing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and construction drawings.
- Basic knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows will be an advantage.
- Understanding of construction materials and fit-out execution methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
