The Chinese Commi II is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of Chinese cuisine while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operational standards. The role supports senior chefs in smooth kitchen operations and timely food service.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes as per standard recipes
- Assist in mise-en-place, chopping, marination, and sauce preparation
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
Kitchen Operations
- Support Sous Chef and CDP during kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station
- Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of food orders
Hygiene & Safety
- Follow food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Maintain proper grooming and clean uniform
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for smooth workflow
- Assist junior kitchen staff whenever required
Qualification & Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management preferred
- 2–3 years experience in Chinese kitchen preferred
