Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Physics
Reporting To
Principal / Academic Coordinator / Head of Science Department
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Physics lessons for senior secondary classes (Class XI & XII) as per curriculum (CBSE/State Board as applicable).
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, teaching schedules, and academic planners for the academic year.
- Teach core Physics concepts including Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics, Optics, and Modern Physics with clarity and depth.
- Develop students’ analytical, logical reasoning, and numerical problem-solving skills.
- Design and conduct regular assessments, unit tests, practical exams, and model examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records and progress reports.
- Guide students for board examinations and competitive exams such as JEE/NEET (as applicable).
- Supervise laboratory experiments and ensure safe and effective practical sessions.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, and revision materials.
- Identify weak learners and provide remedial coaching and academic support.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and structured revision plans.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create an engaging learning environment.
- Integrate ICT tools, simulations, and modern teaching aids to enhance learning.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to parents through meetings and reports.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training programs, and school academic activities.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics or relevant specialization.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Additional qualifications in education or subject specialization is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–7 years of teaching experience in senior secondary Physics.
- Experience in CBSE/State Board curriculum preferred.
- Experience in handling JEE/NEET-oriented teaching will be an added advantage.

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.

Working Hours: As per institution academic schedule
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
