Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Continental Chef with experience in cafés or restaurants. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality continental dishes, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations while delivering an excellent dining experience to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads, appetizers, and main courses.
- Ensure consistency in food taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Monitor food inventory and assist in stock management.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Develop and suggest new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Ensure compliance with café recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Handle customer special requests and dietary requirements when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Continental Chef in a café, restaurant, or similar establishment.
- Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
