About the Project
You'll be working on Avatar.ai — an AI-powered personal styling platform for the Indian market. Think Instagram meets a personal stylist. Users upload a selfie, AI analyses their face/body/skin tone and generates a personalised Look Plan, they book a real human stylist and get on a video call to finalise the look. Built India-first — Indian occasions, garments, skin tones.
This is a live, funded project with a real client, a clear scope, and a fixed 7-week delivery timeline. No ambiguity, no scope creep — everything is documented.
What You'll Build
- Flutter mobile app (iOS + Android from single codebase)
- Node.js backend with REST APIs and PostgreSQL database
- AI Look Plan engine — RAG pipeline, Gemini API + Google Vision API for image recognition and analysis
- Image recognition layer — face shape, body shape, skin tone detection
- Instagram/Pinterest-style style gallery with video support (GCP Cloud Storage + Cloud CDN)
- Video consultation feature (100ms SDK with call recording to GCS)
- Payment gateway integration (Razorpay/Cashfree)
- WhatsApp + Firebase push notifications
- Stylist web dashboard (React.js or Flutter Web)
- Admin panel
- Full GCP infrastructure — Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud CDN, Firestore/PostgreSQL on Cloud SQL
You Must Have
- 7+ years hands-on experience — Flutter + backend (Node.js or Django)
- Shipped production apps to App Store and Play Store
- Strong PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, query optimisation
- Deep AI/ML experience:
- RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipelines — not just API calls
- LLM integration and prompt engineering (Gemini, GPT-4)
- AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent)
- Image recognition and computer vision (Google Vision API, custom model integration)
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) awareness and integration
- Machine learning fundamentals — model evaluation, fine-tuning concepts, training data pipelines
- GCP ecosystem — Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud CDN, Cloud SQL, Firebase, GCP IAM
- Git discipline — feature branches, PRs, clean commits, no cowboy pushes to main
- Can own the full stack independently with minimal handholding
Nice to Have
- Experience with 100ms, Agora, or Twilio Video SDK
- Razorpay/Cashfree payment gateway integration
- Video transcoding and media pipeline experience on GCP
- Prior experience in a product startup or agency delivery environment
