Web Designer – Roles & Responsibilities
A Web Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive website designs that align with the organization’s branding and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing website layouts, banners, landing pages, and web graphics.
- Creating responsive designs compatible with desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Developing UI/UX concepts for better user experience.
- Working with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and basic JavaScript.
- Updating and maintaining company websites regularly.
- Coordinating with developers, content writers, and marketing teams.
- Designing website wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Optimizing website speed, performance, and usability.
- Ensuring website consistency with branding guidelines.
- Testing website functionality across browsers and devices.
- Managing website images, fonts, icons, and multimedia content.
- Implementing SEO-friendly design practices.
- Troubleshooting design-related website issues.
- Staying updated with latest web design trends and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and basic JavaScript.
- Knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Canva.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms is an added advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Web Designing, Graphic Designing, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant experience in web designing preferred.
