ROLE SUMMARY
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and
Bills of Quantities for construction projects at tender, pre-construction, and design development
stages. The role directly supports the organisation's ability to win contracts and establish sound
financial baselines for project execution. Technical know-how is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and BOQ documents
- Develop conceptual, budgetary and definitive cost estimates across all project phases
- Analyse tender documents and assess full scope of work before bidding
- Obtain, compare, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations
- Build and maintain a cost database of current unit rates and cost benchmarks
- Collaborate with design, engineering and procurement teams
- Prepare and submit competitive bid packages within tender deadline requirements
- Conduct post-tender clarifications and provide technical support during negotiations
- Estimate project overheads, preliminaries, provisional sums, and contingencies
- Provide cost feedback and historical data analysis to support execution teams
- Review and validate subcontractor estimates and highlight discrepancies
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education B.E. / B.Tech
Experience 2-4 years in estimation for Construction, civil or
MEP works
Certifications AACE preferred; QS qualification an advantage
Software MS Excel (Compulsory)
Languages Proficient in English (written and spoken)
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
