About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Physical Education Teacher who is passionate about promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and overall student well-being. The ideal candidate should be capable of planning and conducting engaging PE classes while encouraging students to develop healthy lifestyles and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Physical Education classes for students as per the school curriculum.
- Teach fundamental sports skills, fitness exercises, and physical activities.
- Organize and supervise indoor and outdoor sports activities.
- Prepare students for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and annual sports events.
- Assess students' physical fitness and maintain performance records.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities.
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper usage.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to organize sports-related events and activities.
- Participate in school meetings, parent interactions, and professional development programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) is mandatory.
- M.P.Ed. is preferred.
- Relevant teaching certification (if applicable).
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE or reputed school.
- Experience coaching one or more sports such as Basketball, Football, Cricket, Athletics, Volleyball, Badminton, or Yoga is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical education and sports coaching.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of different age groups.
- Good organizational and event management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of first aid and student safety practices is an added advantage.
