Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cost Estimator with experience in Signage, Retail Fit-Out, Shopfitting, POP/POS Displays and Interior Fit-Out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, vendor coordination, and project costing to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for Signage, Retail Fit-Out, Shopfitting, POP/POS Displays, Kiosks, and Interior Fit-Out projects.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
Calculate material, labor, fabrication, transportation, installation, and subcontractor costs.
Prepare competitive quotations and commercial proposals.
Support sales and project teams during tender submissions.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
Maintain updated vendor and material cost databases.
Coordinate with procurement teams for cost optimization.
Technical Evaluation
Review project drawings and specifications.
Suggest value engineering and cost-saving alternatives.
Assess fabrication feasibility and production requirements.
Identify project risks and cost impacts.
BOQ & Quantity Take-Off
Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Conduct material consumption and wastage analysis.
Prepare rate analysis and project costing sheets.
Required Skills
Experience in Retail Fit-Out, Shopfitting, Interior Fit-Out, or Signage Projects.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
Vendor management and cost analysis skills.
Understanding of fabrication processes involving wood, metal, acrylic, glass, and signage materials.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
