Purchase Engineer Job Description
A purchase engineer is part of the purchasing department within an organization. They are responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing various activities related to acquiring raw materials, components, and equipment while managing relationships with vendors. They are tasked with negotiating contracts, developing sourcing plans, and managing inventory.
The roles and responsibilities of a purchase engineer include :
- Evaluating and selecting vendors based on criteria such as price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to obtain the best terms and prices for materials and services.
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Managing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining cost efficiency.
- Analyzing technical requirements, identifying suitable suppliers, and negotiating contracts.
- Determining the cost, quality, and availability of components.
- Ordering equipment and overseeing delivery and payment processes.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
