Computer Teacher (High school)

Academics – Computer Science / Information Technology
To provide high-quality instruction in Computer Science and Information Technology to Higher Secondary students (Grades 8- 10), develop students' technical competencies, prepare them for CBSE examinations and competitive environments, and manage the school's computer laboratory while supporting technology integration across the school.
Academic Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science, Informatics Practices,and related subjects as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual curriculum plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers
- Deliver engaging classroom and practical laboratory sessions using modern teaching methodologies.
- Assess students through periodic tests, practical examinations, projects, and internal assessments.
- Prepare students for board examinations, Olympiads, coding competitions, and technology-based projects.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the computer laboratory.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, operating systems, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Monitor computer hardware and software inventory.
- Coordinate software installations, antivirus updates, operating system updates, and backups.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors for maintenance and AMC activities.
- Ensure cybersecurity awareness and safe internet practices among students and staff.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain laboratory registers and equipment maintenance records.
- Ensure proper usage and safety of computer lab equipment.
- Prepare departmental reports as required by the school management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, and school events.
- Assist in admissions, examinations, and other institutional responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of school data and student information.
Technology Integration
- Train teachers in the effective use of educational technology.
- Support online examinations and digital assessments.
- Assist in school ERP operations and digital documentation where required.
- Recommend technology upgrades to enhance teaching and learning.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of:
- Computer Science fundamentals
- Programming (Python, Java, C++, or similar)
- Data Structures (basic level)
- SQL and Database Management
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript (preferred)
- Networking fundamentals
Educational QualificationsEssential
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications (B.Sc., BCA, B.Tech., B.E. or equivalent)
- B.Ed. (Computer Science / Education) from a recognized institution.
- Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/State Board school (Higher Secondary preferred).
- Experience in practical lab management and school IT support is desirable.
