Core Responsibilities
- Equipment & Reactor Operation:
- Safely operate and monitor glass-lined, MSGL, and SS reactors, distillation columns, glass assemblies, and receivers.
- Charge raw materials (liquids, solids, and powders) into reactors following strict batch processing guidelines.
- Process Monitoring:
- Closely track and control critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, vacuum levels, and flow rates according to the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
- Maintain accurate, real-time logging of parameters in shift logs and BMR/BPR sheets.
- Material Handling:
- Safe handling and transferring of hazardous chemicals, acids, and gases (especially chlorine/chlorinated compounds and solvents).
- Operate auxiliary utility systems, including water ejectors, steam systems, vacuum pumps, and chilling units.
- In-Process Quality Checks:
- Collect in-process reaction samples safely and coordinate with the QC lab for analysis.
- Perform basic testing (like pH checks, density, or layer separations) as dictated by the process.
- Housekeeping & Environment:
- Maintain clean, disciplined, and safe working conditions on the plant floor.
- Assist in proper routing of waste streams to the zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) / effluent treatment plants (ETP).
