The Design Engineer develops and optimizes genset enclosures, acoustic solutions, and structural components. The incumbent will create technical drawings, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Design & Development
- Design acoustic enclosures, canopies, fuel tanks, and structural components for gensets.
- Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical schematics using CAD software.
- Ensure designs meet mechanical strength, acoustic performance, and thermal efficiency requirements.
2. Engineering Calculations & Analysis
- Perform load calculations, vibration analysis, and noise level assessments.
- Optimize material selection for cost-effectiveness and durability.
- Conduct CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to validate designs.
3. Prototyping & Testing
- Collaborate with the production and testing teams to develop prototypes.
- Support in fabrication trials, performance testing, and design validation.
- Implement design modifications based on test results and field feedback.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure designs comply with ISO, CPCB, CE, and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain BOM (Bill of Materials), design reports, and project documentation.
- Assist in patent filing and intellectual property documentation where applicable.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to resolve design challenges.
- Support the sales and marketing teams by providing technical drawings and specifications.
- Assist in customer-specific design customization and special projects.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in design engineering for gensets, acoustics, or sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or other 3D modelling, SAP software.
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of thermal, acoustic, and structural engineering principles.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CFD, FEA, or NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) analysis tools.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
- Exposure to project management tools like SAP, ERP, or PLM software.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
