Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Maintenance Executive / Maintenance Engineer to handle preventive, breakdown, and routine maintenance activities of plant machinery, electrical systems, utilities, and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability and minimum production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Attend machine breakdowns and troubleshoot problems to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and monitor maintenance schedules, checklists, and records.
- Identify recurring machine problems and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Production Department for planned and emergency maintenance activities.
- Inspect machines, motors, pumps, compressors, electrical panels, and other plant equipment regularly.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain adequate stock of maintenance spares, tools, and consumables.
- Coordinate with external vendors/technicians for specialized repair and maintenance work.
- Follow proper safety procedures, PPE requirements, and maintenance standards.
- Maintain records of breakdown time, repair time, spare consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of machinery.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, reliability, and maintenance cost.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the maintenance area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
- Experience in manufacturing / foundry / industrial plant maintenance will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during machine breakdowns.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work in shifts when required.
Preferred Experience
Experience: 1–5 Years
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered depending on the position.
